The OASUS provides resources to ensure that every Rice undergraduate is able to pursue, progress through, and achieve their preferred academic path. Working closely with faculty and existing student support units, we bring evidence-based learning support practices to level the academic playing field and cultivate a culture of help-seeking and collaborative learning through a focus on peer-to-peer education.
Your gift will directly support the compensation and leadership development of the undergraduate Peer Educators who facilitate learning in 50 courses; expand training opportunities to undergraduate and graduate TAs in hundreds of courses across campus; enable workshops and learning resources focused on discipline-based skills; and enhance technologies for the new accommodated Testing Center. By supporting the OASUS, you invest in all students’ potential to thrive at Rice and advance Rice’s commitment to equity and excellence in undergraduate education.
As we establish and expand the resources of this office, every gift, no matter small or large, makes an impact.
Whether you choose to give back through an annual gift, establishing an endowment or supporting another funding priority, every dollar counts. In fact, most gifts to Rice are less than $1,000 but together they add up to millions for student awards, academics, research and programs so we can educate leaders and tackle grand challenges. If you are interested in discussing how you can make a non-cash gift such as appreciated stock, Donor Advised Fund (DAF), IRA Charitable Rollover, or through a deferred gift vehicle such as a bequest, please contact Sara Rice at sdl@rice.edu; we would love to help facilitate that donation.
Your official tax receipt will automatically be sent to the email address you provide. Your investment provides a distinctive academic experience that encourages top research from our faculty and prepares our graduates to lead and succeed throughout their careers.
For any questions, please contact Sara Rice at sdl@rice.edu.
