The Rice Executive MBA Parliament (REP) is a new affinity group for Rice Executive MBA alumni and current students. REP was formed to consolidate existing EMBA alumni activities, including the Valhalla Investment Group and the Rice Business Club, as well as to better serve EMBA alumni and students with peer-to-peer activities and networking opportunities.

About Valhalla Investment Group (VIG) - Founded in 2012, VIG is an EMBA angel investment group. Our investments (direct or through funds) span many industries including real estate, fintech, healthtech, and agriculture. Deal size vary but can range from $25,000 - $250,000. While all EMBAs may attend the pitches, most investments are open only to accredited investors.

The Artemis Fund is the first female-led venture fund for female-led companies based in Houston, Texas. The Fund seeks to move the needle on access to capital for female founders throughout the US. We invest in high growth, seed and Series A stage companies led by women across the US. We just closed our first round of about $2.5M in order to fund our first investment in U-Nest. We will do rolling closes after that and we are flexible on the commitment level. For this round, we have people coming in at various levels from $50k to $250k, and institutions coming in higher. We plan to call capital only as needed, so likely, will call 20% or so this year. And any capital that is not needed as additional investors come on board, will be redistributed back to you until we need it to fund additional investments.
