The Rice women's soccer team claimed the Conference USA regular-season championship over the weekend, via a 1-0 victory on Senior Night over Western Kentucky University at Holloway Field combined with a Louisiana Tech University victory over the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Jaden Roberts netted the game-winning goal with only five seconds left for the Owls (10-7-0, 8-0-0 C-USA) against the Hilltoppers (6-7-3, 3-4-1) Oct. 20, while goalkeeper Bella Killgore made three saves in her seventh shutout of the season and 25th of her career.
