Ted Loch-Temzelides, professor of economics, the George and Cynthia Mitchell Chair in Sustainable Development and a Rice Scholar in energy studies at the Baker Institute for Public Policy, has been named a commissioner to the The Lancet and the Coalition for Preventing Pandemics at the Source Commission on Prevention of Viral Spillover. The commission brings together research, policy and legal experts to develop and implement policies that reduce the risk of future pandemics while promoting a healthier, more sustainable and more equitable future.
