Rice’s Office of Sustainability hosted its annual Campus Sustainability Day (CSD) to highlight and celebrate student organizations, campus departments and community partners that advance sustainability on campus and within Houston. CSD tied into October’s designation as Campus Sustainability Month by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, of which Rice is a member institution. To commemorate the special day, members of the Rice community gathered in the Ray Courtyard and Farnsworth Pavilion as well as the Friedman Holistic Garden to learn more about the 25 participating organizations and engage in activities that spotlight their ongoing sustainability efforts.

Inquiries about CSD and future campus sustainability events can be directed to Kristianna Bowles, sustainability program coordinator, at kb102@rice.edu.
