The Rice community is committed to responding to the COVID-19 pandemic with innovative research, sustaining exceptional learning opportunities for students of all means, and serving our city — and world — in a time of need. Here are three ways that you can support our faculty and students:
Access, Opportunity and Inclusion Gift Fund
The Access, Opportunity and Inclusion Gift Fund, which is distributed by the Dean of Undergraduates, provides emergency financial support to undergraduate students who are facing challenges as a result of COVID-19, including steep and immediate technology needs related to remote learning, medical expenses, travel costs and other needs.
Rice Annual Fund – Graduate Student Support
Our graduate students face a challenging path in advancing their studies, particularly those who depend on research labs and on-campus equipment. The flexible, current-use funds raised through the Rice Annual Fund are especially helpful in addressing graduate student needs.
COVID-19 Research Gift Fund
Rice University has launched a universitywide research accelerator fund to combat the COVID-19 pandemic across biomedicine, engineering, social sciences, humanities and other fields. With a goal to raise $1 million, the grant program will enable Rice faculty to pursue immediate and long-term solutions with maximum flexibility.
