LIFTOFF: RICE PARENTS COUNCIL TAKES FLIGHT
After a year of planning and close conversation with many of you, we are thrilled to officially launch the Rice Parents Council this fall! We are grateful to our founding members and those considering joining.
The mission of this leadership group is to inspire meaningful engagement and drive philanthropic support among the broader parent community. Members host and attend regional events, serve as ambassadors to incoming families, facilitate career connections for current students and provide feedback to Rice leadership. The council reflects the diversity of Rice’s student body across academic interests, class years and geographic regions. Thank you for your partnership and enthusiasm in helping bring this vision to life.

THANK YOU TO OUR NEW STUDENT SEND-OFF HOSTS
This fall, more than 1,300 undergraduates will begin their Rice journey as members of the Class of 2030. Throughout the summer, new students and their families have been able to connect at 14 events across the globe, from San Diego to Houston to Shanghai. It is always a joy to see the nervousness of incoming students melt away as they connect with their peers and parents forge connections with each other.
Sincere thanks to all of our council members who opened their homes or event spaces to incoming Owls and their families. If you are interested in hosting a New Student Send-off or parent social next year, please let us know!
